Today we are going to talk about what it’s like to study abroad during this pandemic
so the first question is how universities are dealing with this pandemic and how it affects you as a student and your studies ?
So all almost every university is doing their best to fight this pandemic and they’re adapting new measures and guidelines to make sure that they are socially distancing and they are stopping the spread of the virus and what they did is to deliver the lectures and tutorials online, they have some universities are completely shifted to online studies so the big question is why should you pay more to study online and not experience all the campus life and international experience above all so my opinion on this is that, if you go to study abroad in the coming six months or within this year or next year then yes you might have to study online for but for a while because now as everyone know that vaccines are readily available and they have started giving it to health care providers, so eventually things will start to get better and even i graduated during the pandemic and i studied during this pandemic, i completed my last semester while i was in like isolating myself and not going out and there was a lockdown so yes it was a completely different experience but uh uh when i was about to come back they most of the universities have switched back to campus life and campus studies.
I’m not completely like partially so for example few departments were delivering their lectures online but for the workshops and tutorials they were asking students to come to campus but they were trying their best to make them sit apart at least 1.5 meters so keeping the all keeping all the guidelines intact so yes you might have to study online for few months if you decide to go abroad during this pandemic but eventually things will get better and you might be able to switch back to campus life and experience all the things that you want to do, so now let’s talk about career prospects so since we know that many people are losing their jobs and they are downsizing, many companies are downsizing so what are the carrier prospects for you so i would say if you’re going to start within a year or or two then you don’t have to worry about it because as i said things will eventually get better and you’ll be graduating in three to four years until then, the situation will be far better than what it is now so the students that need to worry are those who are graduating this year or within the six months or so if you decide to go and study for masters or for bachelors make sure it’s just more than a year at least two years long so that things are better and you might be able to get a job.
So the third and last question is that i’m going to discuss is which country you should go to study aborad or which countries have best possible scenarios for students international, students at universities so i would not recommend going to australia for now because you can’t since the govet australia has completely shut down their borders and no one is allowed to come and go except for few exceptional cases and of course those are for the residents of australia, those who are nationals and they have completely not allowing international students to come although they are granting them visas and encouraging them to study online and join them as soon as the border reopens, but you don’t know when they are going to reopen the borders so i would definitely not recommend australia and the second reason for not recommending australia is that many universities has shut down their scholarships because australian universities were majorly running through international students because the international fees is quite high as compared to the student fees for domestic students so they were they were facing a really hard time when government stopped allowing international students to come so if you are planning to go abroad on a scholarship then you might have to reconsider australia now coming to which universities are best and where you can go are the ones in europe or uk or canada or america so other than australia.
I would recommend and suggest you to search their scholarships and universities and i am sure that you’ll find good scholarships as well as similar courses and program online.
