First congratulations on getting your visa and admission to study abroad, it’s an interesting one it’s going to be full of challenges i’m not going to lie to you you’re going to be both good and bad but what’s life without challenges right? Today i like to share my life experiences understand african students living in germany and also like to give tips on how to apply to university in germany and how to apply to schools, i mean teaching free schools here in germany so in today’s post as you guys can see from the title below we are going to talk about what to pack or what to take along when you’re traveling to study abroad.

I think it’s a very important topic and we should talk about it so, the first thing i would advise you not to forget when you are traveling is your admission letter just like the way you have your passports at hand and your airline ticket at hand make sure you don’t forget to add machine letter, also make sure your admission letter is reachable it’s either your backpack or your handbag so that you can easily take it because when you get to the airport they normally ask for your admission letter okay! So they’re going to ask for your admission letter make sure you’re able to find it easily don’t put it somewhere where you know you’ll be i mean traveling alone yeah there’s already anxiety and everything so make sure your admission letter is close to you so i can easily take it and show it to them.

I hope i’m making sense right what should go into your suitcase so i would advise you not to travel with a lot of clothes, a lot of shoes, i mean it’s not a runway that’s a side don’t travel with a lot of clothes, a lot of shoes, my friend my sister my brother you won’t need them, i’m not saying i’m not saying you will not need them like that but you don’t need so many clothes, i mean when you travel abroad then you’re going to see nicer things, you’re going to see beautiful things you would like to buy again and you end up having so many things so our advice to travel with a few clothings that you think are really important to you and you will need them okay, another thing i’d like you to travel with is a lot of food stuff now if i say food stuff i’m not talking talking about the perishable ones like the ones that easily spray, i’m talking about the ones that they don’t easily spoil like fruit like powdered pepper like crayfish dry, fish dry okra beans, palm oil ..etc.

Now if you want to travel with palm oil, let me talk about this if you want to travel with palm oil make sure you freeze it freeze the palm oil and put in your suitcase then you can travel with it, but don’t travel with it as liquid it can spoil your stuff okay you know how palm oil is you can really stain so make sure you freeze your palm or your wall so that’s about the food stuff that you have to travel with, because if you travel abroad if you get here like yeah those things are very expensive, they’re like 10 times what you buy back at home you want to buy , recently i bought small powdered pepper and was four euros, now converting it to granacity this is like 28 ghana cities it’s upset it’s crazy so make sure you travel with all these things, make sure you have more full stuff than clothes i’m serious like you guys if you listen to me you’re going to be happy when you get here because when you get here and go to the african shop, you see how expensive those things those things are so if you’re going to have two luggages, i mean two suitcases i would advise you have one whole luggage dedicated feet for your food stuff the food is mostly potatoes spaghetti rice ah you get tired oh my dear my sister my brother you get tired bring your gary and all those things do something bring your watching leaves, do some watching charlie, we don’t like spaghetti and rice dancing so we want bunku or crew you know what, i mean so that you feel you still feel at home with all this kind of food when you eat the african food ah now you know the weather the weather cannot beat you so charlie bring all those things your gallery dry okra pepe you know what i mean, bring those things represent them and kill it so pack all those things you need pack all of that and make sure your luggage is each, make sure your luggages don’t exceed um 23 kg because they are not going to take your luggage if it exceeds 22 kg so you have to be very cautious of that your hand luggage that one you can take it into the plane, i mean into the flight.

Now make sure you don’t have anything liquid, let’s say a perfume or rubbing alcohol anything liquid don’t have it in your hand luggage because when you get to the airport, when these they’re going to screen those things right, and they see the liquid stuff they’re going to take it from you, you can’t travel with it so make sure all those liquid things are in your suitcase that are going into the cargo. The other thing that i should talk about is this:

Study Abroad

Now coming from africa, you’re traveling abroad, i think you should carry something that is african with you so that when you come here you would like to show it okay, because we africans we like to show ourselves, i mean why not we have a lot of culture to show a lot of heritage and lots of nice fashion to show, so you can carry your african prince dresses anything african carried along with you, and for me before traveling i quite remember i saw a lot of very funnyn i saw a lot of african print stuff but like when i came here i gained weight and those things do not fit me anymoren i hope that would not be your story but and just make sure you carry you know african prince stuffn it’s why not so this bag this bag it gives me fancy when i carried like in the streets i keep seeing people i keep i keep seeing them watching me so like yeah i carry it everywhere i go for shopping but like everything so let’s represent yeah, a lot of students i know travel during the winter semester, so we are going to travel during the winter semester if you don’t know what winter is i know you know what winter is it’s like it’s a very cold weather it’s very harsh okay, so if you are going to travel and you know, you are going to travel during the winter semester, you should have like the right clothings, have heavy clothings, get winter jackets and get winter boots also get thick get polar neck tops, like this something that can protect you from the cold gate now you can get all these things in africa easy ghana or nigeria or to go wherever you are you get them you get the used ones okay, don’t spend so many ,don’t spend so much money and getting those things and when you go to the thrift shops i mean the obony way, that’s what ghanaians we say nigerians we say or creeka you know those used ones you’ll get them at their market, there’s some one jackets one safety safety but sorry a booth you know something’s something that can keep you that can protect you from the code never to get all these things before you travel like it’s very important, don’t just travel with when you’re traveling during the winter semester don’t come with some something like this because as soon as you come down from the plane the code is inviting you saying aqua about welcome to shake your bones you know what i’m talking about so travel with like wood clothing it’s okay.

At the end i have to say that you know where you’re traveling mostly people like to give you stuff to take to people abroad okay, when you get any stuff from anyone do well open their stuff check its role investigate what is inside because you don’t want to get into trouble, because some people can be very wicked there will be some people come putting drugs and in in a package and be like oh can’t give this to my brother, so i advise you and someone gives you a packet to travel with abroad open the world look at what’s inside cause that i wasn’t going to carry it and if anything happens i’m going to be in deep i hope you understand me this thing has happened to a lot of people and i really don’t want it to happen to any of you guys okay so i think i’ve exhausted all my points.
