Why someone regrets moving to canada ? and this is actually an email someone wrote me someone who is actually concerned about you moving to canada, now i’m not going to tell you that canada is not a good place to go to, it is definitely one of the best places to move to, however i think that this person is trying to give you all of the facts all of the things that canada has in store for you so before you make a life-changing decision i think you should know all of these facts.

Now personally what i’ve done is i’ve verified all of these points and i’ve only kept the ones that i believe are true, they wrote down almost eight points and i’ve narrowed them down to five some of them were just points such as depression that you know, i’m not able to meet new people here because they are so introverted there’s less places to go to and personally i think that is not really something that you can blame on a country, i think that’s something that is going to be kept out of the picture over here even though this person has stayed not just in canada but also in three other countries in their livelihood and they claim that canada is actually the hardest to meet new people in, well that’s fine so some of these points like i said i filtered out for you guys but now i’ll give you all of the other points that they have mentioned and i have verified them to be true, so you know that what you are stepping into is really what the facts are, i think those are something you should be aware of.

We’ll move on to the first fact over here and the number one reason why this person is regretting moving to canada is the lack of jobs, they say that the demand of jobs is much lesser than the supply of jobs so there’s a lot many people who are interested in pursuing a job but very less number of jobs available, and they also said that the process of finding a new job over here it’s very difficult and it’s very slow, it takes a lot of time it’s not as easy as you would probably find a job is in the United states or in india okay, so it’s definitely much much harder it’s much more time taking the employers are very very slow and things are moving very slow he says, and also the jobs are very less and this is especially true for the non-iit field people, the second con that this person talks about is extremely high tax rates and i actually went on and did my research and apparently, the fraser institute generated a report last year and they mentioned that the average canadian resident the person who’s staying in canada is paying a whopping 42.5 of their salary in taxes that is how bad it is this person, personally said that they are paying almost 60 percent of it but i’m giving you the figure that i have verified online that all right be prepared to ex to take out almost 42.5 of your income as a part of taxes okay now let me tell you what taxes can be what kind of taxes you may end up paying there’s the federal income tax there’s the provincial income tax you may, you will be in a province that will have its own taxes then there’s the unemployment insurance premium you basically pay a premium which is you know basically an employment insurance sort off so that goes that comes in the picture then there’s the canada pension plan or basically the plan due to which the health care is supposed to be free in canada and i’ll get to the whole point of free health care later on okay, and then there’s indirect taxes, taxes that you go ahead and you basically you get some food for yourself, you pay taxes over there you get some groceries for yourself, you pay taxes there right, and this person also said that you know you you’re going to a restaurant they’ll force you to tip the waiters about 10 to 15 percent of the food amount so that’s also indirectly, so some amount of tax that you’re paying even though that’s not really tax, i still understand that that’s money wasted, so there’s basically a lot of expenses, a lot of taxes that you’re paying that you may not be incurring in other countries all right. Now either way you will be incurring taxes all in almost every country you go to but in this case 42.5 i think it’s very very high number.

We’ll move on to the third point over here and that is weather, now we all know how the weather can be in canada it’s not really a new thing and you will say hey look i already know the weather can be very very low and can really get cold over there and i’m prepared for that, now this person actually made me rethink that they said look the weather can be as low as -30 degrees celsius at times now that’s extremely low at that point of time things become very very slow, no one really likes to move out of the house right, and life is very very different in such temperatures okay, so you know most people prefer working from home as well, and at the same time you can’t really go out so you can get depressed.
