Research Fellow Experimental Physics at Monash University

Monash University has an opening postdoctoral fellowship position in mathematics. Applications are invited up to November 26, 2019.

Everyone needs a platform to launch a satisfying career. At Monash, we give you the space and support to take your career in all kinds of exciting new directions. You'll have access to quality research, infrastructure and learning facilities, opportunities to collaborate internationally, as well as the grants you'll need to publish your work. We're a university full of energetic and enthusiastic minds, driven to challenge what's expected, expand what we know, and learn from other inspiring, empowering thinkers.

The ARC Centre of Excellence in Future Low-Energy Electronics Technologies (FLEET) is an international innovator in novel electronics technologies. The centre brings together more than 40 world-leading experts who will apply cutting edge science to develop a new generation of ultra-low power electronic devices.

We are seeking an exemplary Research Fellow to join our FLEET team to develop a platform for measuring the spatial distribution of electron currents in optically modified, atomically thin topological insulators. The platform is based on magnetometry using wide-field detection of nitrogen vacancy centres in diamond films.

The role will be supervised by CI Kristian Helmerson at Monash University, working closely with CI Jeff Davis at Swinburne University of Technology.

FLEET valuesequity and diversity and promotes an inclusive workplace culture for staff irrespective of their gender identity, ethnicity, or cultural background.
