Research Assistant at Imperial College London

Imperial College London, UK is offering postdoctoral associate position. The initial contract for this position is two years. Candidates are welcome before October 24, 2019.

Applications are invited for a Research Assistant in Antibody Production to join the Aprile group at the Department of Chemistry of Imperial College London.

Antibodies are powerful biomolecules, which find a wide application in research and clinic. Our research is focused on the development of antibody-based tools to study neurodegeneration. In particular, we are interested in developing and using antibodies to understand how post-translational modifications by the nervous system affect the toxicity of pathological protein aggregates called amyloids.

As part of our team, you will play a key role in the development of single domain antibodies to probe post-translationally modified amyloids. In particular, you will clone and produce these antibodies (using cloning, expression, and purification techniques) and optimise their binding and stability.

Contract: 1 year fixed term initially, with possible extension of up to 1 year

This post is funded by UKRI.
