Research Assistant in Supply Chain Analytics

University of Cambridge is delighted to offer a postdoctoral researcher position in computer science. The deadline for applying is September 26, 2019.

A position exists for a Research Assistant/Associate in the Distributed Information and Automation Laboratory to work on Supply Chain Analytics.

The focus of the project is to develop analytics approaches for improving operational performance in supply chain operations, using a combination of data driven and distributed modelling techniques. The post-holder will help develop prototype software systems which can demonstrate the ability to improve supply chain configuration. The project aims to extend these prototypes into applications or methods to be used within actual operations within industry, as well as measure and evaluate the effectiveness of these in a real environment.

Experience is also required in writing high quality journal articles and presenting research at conferences and seminars to reveal research findings.

The post holder will be located in West Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, UK.

This post is available from 01 October 2019 until 31 March 2021.

Appointment at Research Associate level is dependent on having a PhD. Those who have submitted but not yet received their PhD will be appointed at Research Assistant level, which will be amended to Research Associate once the PhD has been awarded.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2021 in the first instance.
