Research Fellow / Senior Research Fellow Biostatistician

This position will provide statistical support to the Professor of Medicine and the Academic Unit based at Frankston Hospital, Peninsula Health.This is an opportunity to develop a career as a biostatistical methodologist in clinical epidemiology where you will be contributing to large scale projects involving local, national and international collaborations, as well as providing statistical support to clinical projects arising at Peninsula Health. You will be involved in statistical methods related to clinical trials and observational study designs, with the opportunity to apply and develop specific expertise in longitudinal data modelling, twin studies and data linkage.

You will hold a PhD in statistics or a closely related discipline with specific fields of interests in health related to ageing, dementia and vascular disease, evidence of an emerging track record of publications and presentations, the ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines, high levels of initiative and flexibility and well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills.

As the successful candidate, you will be proficient in Stata, SPSS and the R package and have experience in interacting with researchers from different disciplines and providing statistical solutions tailored to their study questions.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
