Research Assistant for Thermodynamics of Co2 Corrosion

A new opening postdoctoral researcher position is available at Technical University of Denmark, Denmark. All candidates regardless of citizenship are eligible to apply before July 18, 2019.

at the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Technical University of Denmark (DTU) invites applications for a position as Research Assistant for Thermodynamics of CO2 Corrosion.

corrosion is a topic which is receiving increasing attention due to the fact that we need to maintain a sustainable climate and reduce our emission. CO corrosion, which leads to formation of FeCO . It participates actively in the protection of the equipment, but it is unclear when it is formed and what conditions results in precipitation of this molecule. Solid formation is well known in pure water systems, but process relevant conditions are completely unknown. This include the impact of salt and brines, high temperature, and high pressure gas, like CO . The overall objectives of this work is to create a new fundamental understanding of FeCO solubility which will lead to better corrosion models, better prediction of corrosion rate, and better scale formation kinetics understanding.

All interested candidates irrespective of age, gender, disability, race, religion or ethnic background are encouraged to apply.
