Postdoc Position in Health Economics at University of Cambridge

The Cambridge Research Methods Hub (CRMH), based within the University of Cambridge Primary Care Unit (PCU), is seeking to recruit a skilled and enthusiastic health economist to work with the newly appointed RAND Professor of Health Services Research, Steve Morris.

In addition to being responsible for undertaking economic evaluations of public health and health care interventions from funded research studies the post holder will also provide health economics advice and support to other researchers within the PCU, the Department of Public Health and Primary Care and the wider University.

As a key member of the CRMH, a research group with expertise in health economics, statistics and data management, as well as a member of the Cambridge Centre for Health Services Research (CCHSR), a joint venture between the University of Cambridge and RAND Europe, the post holder must be able to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

The post-holder will have a PhD in health economics or a related area or have an equivalent level of professional qualifications and experience. They must possess the skills and knowledge to be able to undertake economic evaluations of public health and health care interventions. They will be highly proficient in the use of Excel, have experience undertaking literature searches, excellent attention to detail, good time management skills and the ability to cope with a variety of work demands and deadlines.

The funding for this post is available until 31st October 2021

The post will be based in the Primary Care Unit, Cambridge Institute of Public Health, University Forvie Site, Robinson Way, Cambridge Biomedical Campus, Cambridge CB2 0SR (approx. 2 miles south of city centre).
