Postdoc Position in Spectral Hp Element Modelling of The Boltzmann Equations

Applications are invited for a short term post-doctoral researcher (Research Associate in Spectral/hp element modelling of the Boltzmann equations)in the department of Aeronautics at Imperial College London.

The main aim of the research work to be conducted at Imperial College is to develop a high order spectral/hp element solver of the Galerkin Boltzmann equations for flow simulatio. In particular, this work requires the development of the flow solvers within the object-oriented C++ code Nektar++. This is a high-order spectral/hp element code which uses high-order polynomial bases on each element to provide faster convergence rates than linear finite elements. Must hold a PhD (or equivalent) in computational engineering,applied mathematics or a closely related discipline, or equivalent research, industrial or commercial experience
