Remuneration:Pro-rata of $119,072 – $137,298 pa Level C (plus 17% employer superannuation)

An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Lecturer who will oversee the medical and surgical education program for medical students based at the School of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health, the largest site of the School. In this role, there will be significant involvement in curriculum development and delivery as well as developing assessment material and delivery of core assessment tasks.

The role reports to the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education and will be involved in mobilisation and motivation of an effective educator workforce including tutor, lecturer and supervisor sourcing.

You are a motivated person who wants to work with like-minded individuals and be a part of an elite category of the academy who focus on and contribute to the innovation of education and leading the design and delivery of education at the University.

You possess strong interpersonal skills and have a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues and students, a demonstrated excellence in teaching and hold a good scholarship and research record as evidenced by publications in high-quality refereed journals or equivalent.

You will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of lectures and seminars, course material and resource development, marking and assessment, consulting with students and innovative curriculum design based on a systematic and evidence-based review of teaching methods and techniques.

To be successful in this role you will have advanced qualifications and/or recognised significant experience in the relevant discipline area. A position at this level will normally require a doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing.
