Monash University is pleased to invite applicants to apply for a new opening postdoctoral fellowship position in developmental biology. Applicants should apply before March 29, 2019.

Everyone needs a platform to launch a satisfying career. At Monash, we give you the space and support to take your career in all kinds of exciting new directions. You'll have access to quality research, infrastructure and learning facilities, opportunities to collaborate internationally, as well as the grants you'll need to publish your work. We're a university full of energetic and enthusiastic minds, driven to challenge what's expected, expand what we know, and learn from other inspiring, empowering thinkers.

The del Monte-Nieto group is interested in the study of the molecular mechanisms and developmental processes orchestrating normal heart development in embryos in order to better understand the developmental causes leading to congenital heart disease, and the process of cardiac regeneration.

An exciting opportunity exists for a post-doctoral research fellow to join the group to examine particular areas of research on developmental biology with a strong focus on 3D static and live imaging of the formation of the heart in developing mouse embryos and the optimization of image analysis protocols.

We are seeking someone with experience in developmental biology and molecular biology techniques and with proficiency in confocal and light-sheet microscopy and the use of image analysis software.

Ideally you will have a doctoral qualification preferably in molecular biology and developmental biology with experience in heart development and microscopy.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

At Monash University, we are committed to b a Child Safe organisation. Some positions at the University will require the incumbent to hold a valid Working with Children Check.

Your application must address the selection criteria. Please refer to“How to apply for Monash Jobs”.
