Research Fellow at University of Michigan

University of Michigan, USA has an opening postdoctoral associate position in molecular biology. Applicants should apply as soon as possible.

A postdoctoral research fellowship is available to study the role of interferon biology in skin inflammation and its links to autoimmune disease development in a productive laboratory at the University of Michigan. Successful candidates have the potential to be supported by the University of Michigan Rheumatology Training Grant.

The applicant is expected to be well-versed in molecular biology and immunological techniques. Skills including flow cytometry, molecular cloning, cell culture, RNA isolation, Western blotting, transfection and basic microscopy are expected. Familiarity with techniques such as RNA-sequencing, CHIP-seq, RNA silencing techniques, ELISA and protein purification are also encouraged.

Successful candidates must hold a PhD in immunology, molecular basis of disease or equivalent. Applicants with an MD and the above skill sets would also be considered.
