Research Assistant Drosophila Neurogenetics

University of Cambridge, UK has an opening postdoctoral associate position in genomics. The funding allows successful candidate to work for 5 years. Applicants should apply before February 20, 2019.

We are looking for a post-doctoral Research Associate to join the lab of Dr Albert Cardona whose lab is interested in the neural circuit basis of behavior. For details of recent projects, see . For a description of the lab’s focus see .

You should have experience of the following: – Design of genetic constructs in Drosophila – Fly husbandry – Application of machine learning techniques

The role holder will also play a key part in establishing the lab in Cambridge after recent relocation from the Janelia Research Campus in the US. We therefore need someone with the ability to create internal and external contacts and build relationships for future collaboration as well as driving forward the research.

You should have a PhD (or about to be awarded a PhD) in biology, specialized in genetics/genomics in Drosophila.
