Research Assistant at University of Cambridge

University of Cambridge, UK is inviting applicants to apply for a postdoc position in molecular biology. Applicants should apply before March 03, 2019.

Applications are invited for a Research Assistant to work with Professor Gordon Dougan on the new Antimicrobial Resistance Theme (AMR) of the Cambridge NIHR Biomedical Research Centre and other research projects. This new Theme reflects local strengths in basic and applied microbiology, which will be harnessed to tackle the burden of antimicrobial resistant pathogens in the NHS, in partnership with other Institutes on a national and international level.

The post holder will support investigations into phenotypic and genomic analyses on bacteria. The position requires excellent laboratory skills and a background in molecular biology and standard techniques of cellular biology. The candidate will also be expected to contribute to other research projects as required.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2021 in the first instance.
