Research Assistant at Imperial College London

Imperial College London, UK is offering postdoctoral scholar position. The deadline to apply is March 05, 2019.

The fast-growing Centre for Climate Finance and Investment (CCFI), within Imperial Business School, is hiring for a Research Assistant to help produce independent and original research exploring capital markets-led solutions to global climate change.

Research will look at the business models, financial instruments and investment strategies that can help the global economy adapt to climate change. One priority is to remain responsive to the questions that the investment community is asking. Researchers working with the CCFI bridge the academic and business worlds and undertake research that is going to have relevance to, and impact in, the business world. Some research is on a shorter timescale than others enabling rapid real-world impact.

Work will cover all aspects of the research and involve working jointly with Dr Charles Donovan and other investigators and researchers associated with the CCFI and in the investment industry. This role will involve a high degree of teamwork and interdisciplinary research.

The Centre's purpose is to unlock solutions within mainstream capital markets to address the challenges posed by global climate change.

Combining inter-disciplinary research and industry collaborations we aim to make an impactful intellectual contribution by defining and quantifying the risk associated with renewable energy, clean technologies, and resilient infrastructure. Applying a combination of intellectual rigour with real world experience, we are building a point of interface between academics and practitioners that is generating a new understanding of a multi-trillion dollar investment opportunity.
