Research Fellow Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering

The successful candidate will work on the development of advanced methods for market mechanism design, decision support, and operation and control of microgrids. The work will be within the Monash Net Zero Initiative and will carry out research on peer-to-peer trading, pricing, and control of various Distributed Energy Resources such as PVs, EVs and battery storage systems for secure operation of microgrids. In addition, coordinated control techniques and resources will be explored to provide ancillary services such as demand management and frequency reserves. Youwill report to the power system research group at the Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering which is working closely with the Net Zero / Microgrid delivery team and researchers at the Faculty of IT.

The successful applicant must hold a PhD in a relevant discipline.
