Aside from shelter, food and clothing, one of the most basic necessities of man is education. Whatever the reason for the offer, scholarships were designed to help those in need and to assist those who cannot pursue their studies single handedly. It would be best to search for scholarship programs available that you might qualify for. Most merit scholarships require a student to have grade point average of more than 3.7 or depending on the discretion of the committee.
Though you may be smart and talented, if you do not have the qualifications to have the merit scholarship, then the committee wont even bother to look at your application. In applying, make sure that you have the necessary qualifications needed to be awarded of the program. The task may seem tedious but it is all worth it when you get your diploma.
